How To Make This Easy Gochujang Tofu Recipe:
Prepare Tofu: Tear tofu into bite-sized pieces.

Toss with cornstarch and soy sauce.

Cook Tofu: Cook tofu in oil until crisp, about 8 mins.

Make Sauce: Whisk together sauce ingredients.

Easy Gochujang Tofu

- 1 block extra firm tofu
- 1 tbsp cornstarch

- 3 tbsp gochujang (use less if you don't want it too spicy)
- ½ orange juiced
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 3 tbsp maple syrup sub honey or agave
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- 1 heaping tbsp minced ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Toppings
- 2-3 green onions, sliced
- 4 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Tear tofu into bite-sized pieces. Toss in a bowl with cornstarch and soy sauce to combine.
- Add 1 tbsp of oil into a pan on medium heat and cook for about 8 mins or until the tofu is crisp on all sides. (For baking instructions, see notes below)
- While the tofu is cooking, prepare the sauce by whisking together the orange juice, orange zest, gochujang, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
- Add the gochujang sauce into the pan with the tofu. Cook until the sauce has thickened and all tofu is coated. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve with rice and steamed vegetables if desired and top with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
