Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup tvp: textured vegetable protein
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, make the marinade by whisking together the vegetable broth, tomato paste, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. (If making taco meat, add 1 tbsp of taco seasoning)
  • Add the dry TVP into the marinade, stir to combine, and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  • In a skillet on medium heat, add 1-2 tbsp of olive oil, then add the TVP beef mixture.
  • Sauté for about 5-8 minutes or until lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve, and enjoy!
