Mushrooms on Toast with Vegan Cream Cheese

Ingredients
  

Mushrooms

  • 2 ½ cups cremini mushrooms, sliced (other mushrooms work too!)
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • salt and pepper to taste

Toast

Instructions
 

  • In a pan on medium heat, melt the vegan butter and add the sliced mushrooms. Cook for about 3-4 minutes then add the garlic and soy sauce and cook for another 1-2 mins.
  • Toast the bread, and spread on a thick layer of vegan cream cheese or hummus. Top with the cooked mushrooms, and some fresh herbs like thyme to garnish. Serve and enjoy!
