Ingredients

For the Apple Topping:

  • 2 large apples, cut into cubes
  • 2-4 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon plus more for topping

For the Yogurt Jars:

  • 4 cups nonfat Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

Optional Toppings:

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds per jar
  • drizzle of peanut butter, almond butter or extra maple syrup
  • granola

Instructions

Cook the Apples

  • In a small saucepan, add the chopped apples, water, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and most of the liquid has evaporated. Remove the lid halfway through to help the liquid cook off.

Assemble the Jars

  • Divide the Greek yogurt evenly between four jars (about 1 cup per jar).

Add the Apple Topping

  • Spoon the cooked apple mixture evenly over each yogurt portion.

Chill and Store

  • Seal the jars with lids and store in the fridge for up to 4 days. Add any extra toppings as desired, and enjoy for a quick breakfast or snack!

Notes

  • Yogurt options: Use plain nonfat Greek yogurt for high protein and low sugar, or vanilla Greek yogurt for extra sweetness.
  • Vegan: Make it vegan by using a high protein vegan yogurt (this will change the nutritional info slightly)
  • Make it your way: Add chia seeds for fiber, granola for crunch, or a drizzle of peanut butter for healthy fats (not included in nutrition facts).
  • Storage: Keeps 4 days in the fridge. Great for grab-and-go meal prep!
