Ingredients

Chia Jam

  • 1 ½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  • In a saucepan on medium heat, add blueberries, allow them to heat up and gently mash them to your desired consistency.
  • Next, add your lemon juice, chia seeds, and maple syrup. Cook on medium-low heat for 2-3 minutes until everything is combined and heated through.
  • Allow to cool for at least 5 mins, this jam will thicken quite a bit as it cools.
  • Stir the jam, then add into a mason jar with a lid, and store in the fridge up to 1 week or the freezer for up to 3 months. It's best when fresh out of the fridge. Enjoy!
